WEEKEND CAMP CHECKLIST

 

Pack in a duffle bag or backpack. Make sure all personal items are marked with the scout’s name.

 

Clothing

___ 1 set underwear and socks per day, plus one spare set. (2)

            (Pack each in a separate 1 gallon zip-lock bag)

___ T-shirts, one per day (2)

___ 1 Pair long pants. (zip-off type is good)

___ 1 Pair shorts

___ 1-2 Pair hiking socks

___ Jacket and/or sweatshirt (fleece)

___ Rain gear/poncho

___ Sleep wear/sweat pants

___ Sneakers

___ Hiking shoes

___ Water sandals/shoes (optional)

___ Swim trunks (trip dependent)

 

Personal Gear

___ Sleeping bag and sleeping bag

___ Tent (the troop has tents – be sure to get one from the shed if you need one!)

___ Towel and washcloth (on the off chance they may be used)

___ Toilet items

            (Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap with holder, shampoo, comb, deodorant)

___ Personal first aid kit

___ Non-aerosol insect repellent

___ Suntan lotion

___ Water-resistant watch

___ Money in a zip lock bag ($3-5/day – sometimes we stop while driving, or there may be gift shops at various locations )

___ Flashlight and batteries

___ Dirty clothes bag and wet clothes bag (2 trash bags)

___ Canteen or Water bottle

___ Scout handbook (very important!)

___ Pocket knife or Leatherman tool
