SUMMER CAMP CHECKLIST

 

Pack in a duffle bag or foot locker. Foot locker with a combination padlock is by far the best choice. Make sure all personal items are marked with the scout’s name.

 

Clothing

___ Scout uniform (shirt, short, socks, neckerchief, belt)

___ Class B Scout uniform shirt

___ 1 set underwear and socks per day, plus one spare set. (8)

            (Pack each in a separate 1 gallon zip-lock bag)

___ T-shirts, one per day (7)

___ 1-2 Pair long pants. (zip-off type is good)

___ 2-3 Pair shorts

___ 1-2 Pair hiking socks

___ Jacket and/or sweatshirt (fleece)

___ Rain gear/poncho

___ Sleep wear/sweat pants

___ Sneakers

___ Hiking shoes

___ Water sandals/shoes (optional)

___ Swim trunks

 

Personal Gear

___ Sleeping bag and sleeping bag

___ Pillow and pillowcase

___ 2 Towels and washcloth

___ Toilet items

            (Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap with holder, shampoo, comb, deodorant)

___ Personal first aid kit (&survival kit if working on wilderness survival merit badge)

___ Non-aerosol insect repellent

___ Suntan lotion

___ Water-resistant watch (all activities are scheduled)

___ Money in a zip lock bag ($3-5 plus merit badge supply expenses)

___ Flashlight and batteries

___ Dirty clothes bag and wet clothes bag (2 trash bags)

___ Canteen or Water bottle
